Tubbygx,
I have never heard of anyone doing that ........... Looking at the audio unit and the section you wish to remove I don't see where you'de have a problem with the Navigation system. I have no idea what kind of wireing nightmare you might have ........ but, if you confident in your wireing abilities then I don't think you'll have a problem with the lock out for the Navi. your audio functions through the MFD will probably be eliminated. Check with the pioneer specialist in your area and see if he/she has any do's or don'ts. Let me know how you make out with this. You know that you can watch DVD movies on your MFD if you have the vehicle in Park and the Park break is on!!!!

will i just talked with a friend that works at 212motoring in brooklyn ny and he said i could do it but i have to maybe bypass the factory amp but it could be doon and the navi should work
but also looking at the gx closer i was think if i cant remove the tape player unit out i was think i could put the pionner under the tapeplayer were the ashtray is. i could make a bazzel for it and make it have the same finish as my wood trim

Tubbygx,
Be careful when your down there removing the Tape unit ............. Somewhere down in that area is the DVD unit for the Navigation Unit loaded with the 6.1 version. If you open a panel and there is a drive unit there it's your Navigation.
Good Luck and let me know how it turns out..........
