Interested in getting a used LS around $25K – I’ll probably have to go back to the 2001 through 2006 models to get a loaded-up one in nice condition from a “no-salt state”. If I keep up the maintenance and am easy on it, can I expect to get 200K miles out of an LS? [font="times new roman" itxtvisited="1"]NAV system: Is there some kind of monthly or annual fee for the
navigation system – If so, how much would that run me? The navigation system – Is it identical on the 2001 through 2006 LS’s? (someone told me it was upgraded to the "current technology" in 2004 (and more user-friendly)?) If the NAV system changed during those years, did the change make much of a difference? (is it worth me getting a newer 2004 LS so that I can get the current technology on the Navigation system (instead of a low-mileage 2001 with the old NAV system)? – I’ve never had GPS before)? I appreciate any input. Thanks very much. Bob

Nope there is not a monthly or annual fee for the navigation system there is only a disc for each version of the LS which can be upgraded. IMO i think it is worth it getting the 04-06 model LS430 the body is slightly different and comes with clear tail lights plus the projectors are amazing on the newer models one of the best out there. I bought a low mileage 2001 LS430 and now want the 04-06 model LS. With gas going up you can get a 04 model for $25k easy. It all comes down to what you want and how you feel good luck with you purchase
