hello all, I'm new member here. Just bought the new Ls460 with navigation/mark levinson system that come w/ dvd video playback. This DVD only plays when the car is in park. Is there anyway to bypass it. I would like it to play while my i'm driving so my son in the back could watch it.thanks

Try going to a after-market stero shop and see if they will do it. Its illegal so you usually have to have a fiend who will take care of you. But you have a 460 which usually means you have money so im sure you can pursuade somebody.

I used to work for a stereo shop I heard that the government made all these companies to add a speed sensor on all units so you cannot use it while driving for safety .Go to your settings and if you find the feature safe mode disable it. Good luck.
Also , you can try engaging your emergency brake that first click till the light comes on the dashboard - but not more to where the e-brake is braking the wheels - when the light comes on the dashboard it fools the DVD into thinking that you are parked and the e-brake is on.
